The Colony Community Center is located at 5151 North Colony Boulevard.  With approximately 7,000 square feet of space for activities.  The Community Center is the meeting place for The Colony seniors and is able to accommodate the number and types of programs offered to seniors.

Included in the facility is a large meeting and dining area, and a game room with a shuffleboard, pool table and other game tables.  There is a fully equipped computer lab with internet capability and 12 computers.  

The Colony Community Center endeavors to provide services and programs which appeal to the various segments of the community.   It assists as a resource for referral and information on service programs in Denton County, and it is home to SPAN, the Denton County non-profit organization which provides transportation and hot meals to area Seniors 5 days a week.

Veterans
The Denton County Veteran Services Offices are in the Government Building at 6301 Main 
Street each Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  All services are free to Veterans.

SPAN
Call SPAN at 972-624-2247 at least 24 hours in advance for daily lunches at The Colony 
Senior Center or for meals delivered to home bound seniors. 
Special Programs for Aging Needs (SPAN)

Food Drive
The area food banks are short many items and have a large demand.  Bring your 
non-perishable items to the Community Senior Center and leave with the feeling that you
have helped someone in need get through a rough time in their lives.

Information and Referral
Learn about aging services and resources available to seniors.  The center keeps updated 
information regarding changes in Medicare guidelines, Social Security, and Veteran's benefits.  Additional assistance is available assessing needs and determining benefit entitlement.
